Inktober officially lasts for the whole month of October. OCAD U Inktober events will run from Oct 4 to 6.

OCAD U will host different Inktober activities during the first week of October. You still use the official Inktober prompt list and hashtags. You are invited to share and collaborate within OCAD U.

When attempting Inktober alone, it could be isolated and more challenging. OCAD U aims to create a community that encourages each other through this challenge.

Mass Community Art #Inktober Events in the Great Hall at 100 McCaul: Collaborative Painting, Murals, Prizes and Art Games! Join in and Drop in any time to make art! *Supplies provided for all activities. Doodle Wall Oct 4 to Oct 6, 10 AM to 4 PM Free to create/experience any ink relevant practice. Story Chain Oct 4 to Oct 6, 10 AM to 4 PM Organically develop the story by creating a new piece in response to previous work. 1. All the work would be pinned on the wall during OCAD Inktober. 2. Students are not required to finish their work at the great Hall. You are welcome to use your own supplies and work somewhere else. Pop Up Workshop - Led by DRPT Professor Luke Painter Tue, Oct 4, 1:30 PM, No RSVP required Art Relay Oct 5 and Oct 6, 11AM, 1 PM, 3PM 1. Each individual starts their own subject on paper. 2. After 5 minutes the paper will be re-laid/passed to the second person. 3. The second student can add their own ideas freely or collaborate with the first students’ work. 4. Students can group themselves and participate as a group. Individuals can show up 10 minutes before the relay starts and draw a table number for grouping.

Your drawing can be as complex or as simple as you choose. Inktober is less about making masterpieces than it is about developing positive drawing habits and challenging yourself.

While Inktober encourages artists to share their work, you don’t have to. The important thing is to practice positive drawing habits and to have fun.
